I’m a wife to my wonderful husband Jeff of 39 years, Mom to 4 grown kids and Nana to 12 beautiful grandkids. I started sewing about 35 years ago when our first child was on his way. I borrowed a sewing machine, bought my first pattern and wrestled my way through his nursery set. Fast forward to about five years ago when I found a great quilting group and there began my fascination into the wonderful world of quilting.

I quickly found that my favorite part was not the piecing but the quilting. Straight line, free-motion, rulerwork… really any kind of quilting that can be done on a sewing machine or longarm… count me in! In fact, when I found rulerwork, I got so excited I went out in my backyard with my jigsaw and some Plexiglas and made some simple rulers to play with. That is where Petal Perfect was born: a roughly cut piece of plexi in my backyard. I quickly knew I wanted to share this tool with other quilters!

While quilting is my hobby and creating has always been an enjoyable pastime, you should know those aren’t the most important things about me. Our creator God, who put creativity in me in the first place, is the source of my joy and the object of my focus.
